PRIVACY POLICY

AX.GRIND ("we," "us," "the app") provides free workout plans, an AI coach, a community forum, and related fitness tools at axgrind.fit. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control it.

Who this app is for

AX.GRIND is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we've collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

Information we collect

Account info: email address, username/handle, and (optionally) a display name and password. If you sign in with a magic link, we only need your email.
Profile preferences: language, accent color, and background theme choices.
AI Body Analyzer photos: the photo you upload for a physique analysis is sent to our AI provider to generate a one-time assessment and is never stored by us.
Progress photos (optional): if you use the Progress Photos feature, those photos are stored privately and tied to your account so you can track changes over time. Only you can see them, and you can delete any of them at any time.
Body metrics (optional): weight and body measurements (neck, chest, waist, arms, etc.) you choose to log, used to power your progress charts and trends.
Content you post: forum posts, comments, direct messages, and any images attached to them.
Usage data: workout/quest completions, streaks, focus sessions, and XP, used to power your progress, achievements, and the leaderboard.
Push notification tokens: only if you opt in to reminders — used solely to deliver those reminders (quest due-times and streak alerts).

AI features

The AI Coach, Body Analyzer, and content moderation are powered by a third-party AI provider (Anthropic). Messages you send the coach and photos you submit to the analyzer are sent to that provider to generate a response, and are not used by us for any purpose beyond producing that response. Don't send anything to the AI Coach or Analyzer that you wouldn't want processed by a third-party AI service.

How we use your information

To operate your account, save your progress, and personalize the app.
To power the AI Coach, Body Analyzer, and automatic content moderation.
To send optional reminder notifications, if you've turned them on.
To keep the forum and messages safe — reported content is reviewed by the app's moderator(s).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage provider.
Netlify — our hosting provider, which runs the server-side functions the app depends on.
Anthropic — powers the AI Coach, Body Analyzer, and content moderation features described above.

Other users can see your username, display name, forum posts, and anything you send them directly — that's the nature of a community feature. They cannot see your email or password.

Your controls

You can edit or clear your display name, language, and theme at any time in Account settings.
You can delete individual forum posts, comments, messages, or progress photos you've added.
You can block another user from messaging you, from the Messages tab.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Account → Delete Account. This cannot be undone.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, posts, messages, and uploaded content are permanently removed within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain reports of policy violations for safety purposes.

Security

We use industry-standard practices (encrypted connections, access-controlled databases) to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure. Don't share your password with anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify users in the app.
